The Barbara Greenbaum House is a 256-bed student residence hall and living learning community.
Threshold provided sound isolation design including the protection of the sleeping rooms from outside noise, separation between horizontally and vertically adjacent rooms, and between public areas and private rooms. Emphasis was placed on the design of the mechanical systems throughout the building. In larger gathering spaces, interior acoustics assist in making spaces that are easy and comfortable to be in for the variety of events that take place.
The residence hall provides 144 single and double occupancy suites, apartments for a Faculty-member-in residence and a house director. The facilities include a living room and commons, demonstration kitchen, a classroom as well as social and study lounges.
The building was designed to attain LEED Gold.
