Our demonstration studio, which features a 22-channel spatial sound system capable of immersing the listener in the experience of listening in an unbuilt room. Comparative auralizations of alternative approaches is far more accessible and compelling as a means of decision-making than the review of statistics by even the most animated and eloquent acoustician. Decisions of visual matters are best made by eye, and those of aural matters best made by ear.

Immersive auralizations are usually of greatest benefit during the early design stages, but we have used much more simple methods to demonstrate the relative effectiveness of different construction techniques, such as that of facade and glazing systems at mitigating outdoor noise – the relative effectiveness of each option can be evaluated by ear and weighed against the comparative costs, again facilitating Client decisions by ear rather than statistics.
